Cat and I arrived out our Chelsea studio and we quickly dropped our bags before we ventured out to Gallow Green. BREATHTAKING! The rooftop was absolutely spectacular and perfect for kicking off fashion week. 2 cocktails later, and raced back to the flat to welcome Christine, our partner in style for the week. We had just enough time to grab brunch (aka bottomless mimosas!) in Chelsea before exploring the best of summer in New York on the High Line.
Countdown begins - 3 hours 'til MADE! Spring/Summer 2017 Designer Line Up
Sat: MISBHV | 69 | ANDREA JIAPEI LI | MAISON THE FAUX
Sun: GOSSELIN | KREWE DU OPTIC | MORGAN LANE | NEWARK
Monday Runway: ZAC POSENWe were passing by the Standard and noticed that the MADE pre-party was happening. We flashed our crews and ventured up to the rooftop for the most amazing views. Manhattan's skyline was in its full glory and we barely escaped in time to throw on our threads and race over to Milk Studios. I opted for orange suede heels, distressed jeans and messy hair.
MADE @ Milk Studios

This year's collections were all about making a statement....from the models to the collections, the feel was somber and androgynous but with a hidden bang.
MISBHV went for a 90s vibe and 69 opted for LA basics on celebrity imposters....uninteresting to say the least. Andrea Jiapei Li was most impressive with remarkable silhouettes and crazy originality. And no one could pass up the presentation from Maison the Faux.
The Maybelline After Party
The highlight of the party was meeting Mark Reay, the legendary photographer who spent six years living homeless on a rooftop in New York while working as a model and photographer. I didn't quite know who he was, but just that he had an interesting story/background. So I walked right up, introduced myself, and quickly realized who he was when he said he was a fashion photographer. As an inspiring photographer, it was an incredible experience and one that I'll never forget.
